Caspian Environmental Forum to be held in Turkmenistan

The Caspian Environment Forum will be held at the National tourist zone "Avaza", on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea, on 5-6 November. The corresponding decree was signed by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The forum aims to promote international cooperation in the field of ecology, conservation and efficient use of natural resources of the Caspian Sea and world-wide popularization of its unique ecology and biodiversity. The forum will also look at the environmental issues in the region and ways to develop the relevant initiatives.
The presidential decree instructs the Ministry of Nature Protection of Turkmenistan, the State Enterprise for the Caspian Sea under the President of Turkmenistan and the administration of Balkan province to ensure high-level organization the forum.
