Turkmenistan's first graders receive netbooks as gift on September 1

Turkmenistan’s first graders received personal computers – netbooks – on the occasion of September 1. By tradition, netbooks are awarded on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan to all first graders, as peculiar encouragement to the world of modern knowledge and technology.

As the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat, on the Day of Knowledge and Students new educational facilities were inaugurated across the country.

For example, a kindergarten for 160 children was opened in the city of Abadan. A new modern secondary school for 940 pupils was opened in the city of Tedjen. Two schools for 600 pupils each were inaugurated in the city of Serdar. New schools were also opened in the villages of Polatlı and Akmanyap in Dashoguz province, in the village of Pagtachy and the village named after S.A. Niyazov in Lebap province, in the village of Murch in Akhal province. A sports school and kindergarten were inaugurated in the city of Mary, and a school for 400 pupils was opened in the farmers’ association "Yenish" in Mary province.

New modern secondary school N 88 for 600 pupils was inaugurated in "Parakhat-4" district in Ashgabat.
