Turkish “Polimeks” to build memorial complex in Ashgabat

Turkish company "Polimeks" presented the President of Turkmenistan with the sketches of new facilities to be built in Ashgabat. In accordance with recommendations made earlier by the head of state, the company prepared a project on construction of a new big memorial complex with monuments perpetuating the memory of the Turkmen soldiers who died during World War II and the victims of the 1948 earthquake in Ashgabat.

Other proposals of “Polimeks” to the President of Turkmenistan included a project of a new park that will be located in the southern part of the city, along Archabil avenue, in the area between the Monument to the Constitution and the new Center of Culture and Recreation of Ashgabat, as well as various options of development of the above-mentioned Center.

The President also got acquainted with projects on further modernization and development of transport and communication infrastructure of Ashgabat. In particular, the head of state was presented with the layout of new highways, bridges, viaducts and road junctions within the city of Ashgabat and Akhal province, as well as a project on construction of the road leading to the new five-star hotel being built in the southern part of the capital.

After reviewing the proposals of the Turkish partners, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a number of comments and suggestions for the designers of projects.
