Dear compatriots!
Dear guests!
Ladies and gentlemen!

In the conference hall of this beautiful Palace of Congresses, addressing my good wishes of robust health and success, happiness and prosperity, I speak before the elders, the youth on whose shoulders rests the responsibility to build a better future, members of the State Security Council and the Cabinet of Ministers, members of the National Parliament, mass media and public associations, and the diplomatic corps!

First of all, I want to sincerely thank all those who accepted our invitation to participate in the inauguration ceremony on the occasion of my assumption of duties as President of Turkmenistan!

Today is a very solemn, but at the same time very important day, marking a new presidential term in the history of independent neutral Turkmenistan.

I want to express gratitude, coming from the depths of my heart, to the talented and courageous people of our sovereign homeland. Electing me President for the second term, our people placed a very high confidence on me.
I take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to all those who participated in the presidential elections as presidential candidates! They exerted all efforts to win this election, and faithfully and honorably passed all stages of the election campaign, proving that they deserve to be leaders.

During this election campaign, they gained even more strength and valuable experience. I am confident that knowledge and skills gained following their participation in electoral events will be useful to them in the future.

Dear participants of the ceremony!
Dear compatriots!
Dear guests!

Today, our sovereign Motherland entered a new phase in its development. It will be a period of further steady progress and large-scale transformations in our country.
Using the huge creative potential of our people, taking good care of natural resources of the Turkmen land bestowed by God, supported by unity and cohesion that ensure civil accord in society, as well as progressive development of the country on the basis of the achieved milestones and great successes, we have set new higher goals.

In my program statement as a presidential candidate on 9 January 2012, I expressed my views on the important tasks that we face in further development of the country, clearly outlining the priorities of future innovative development based on the latest scientific achievements.

These important tasks were reflected in the National Programme on Improving Social and Living Conditions in Villages, Towns, Cities, Districts and Regional Centers until 2020 and the National Program of Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2011-2030.

I am confident that with the support and enthusiasm of our people, working hard and enthusiastically, we will successfully solve all the challenges we face!

Achieving these goals will enable us to significantly improve the standard of living of every citizen and ensure happy and prosperous life for people.

Once again, I sincerely thank all the voters who came to the polling stations and voted for me!

I really appreciate your high trust. To justify your trust I want to assure you that I will spare no strength, knowledge, experience and capabilities to achieve all goals we have set. I will selflessly work, implementing all my undertakings in the name of a peaceful, stable and prosperous life of our homeland and people!

Our great ancestors had a wise saying: “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step!” The same words I uttered five years ago. And now I want to reiterate this wisdom that has passed the test of time.

I believe in my beloved people, in their great creative energy and boundless potential, their happy and bright future!

That is why I firmly believe that together with our people we will surely achieve these ambitious goals, going forward together with confidence, united, hand in hand!

Long live the future of our brave people!
Long live the Turkmen people!
Long live our Motherland – out beloved Turkmenistan!
