On January 31, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a meeting with a delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel, headed by Director General for Relations with International Organizations Pinhas Avivi.
According to the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, the sides discussed several issues on bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and Israel in the context of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's foreign policy based on the principles of neutrality and peace, aimed at building a broad international cooperation.
Issues relating to increasing trade, economic and cultural partnership, which has a great potential, was discussed separately. Among the main areas of cooperation the sides named energy, agriculture, water management, education and health.
As noted in the course of the talks, Turkmenistan is interested in using Israeli know-how in the field of ecology, alternative and renewable energy technologies, tourism. The sides noted the importance of mutual exchange of delegations to explore and implement the most promising joint projects.
