Mobile operator “Altyn Asyr” to improve quality of services

The Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan will conclude contracts with “Huawei Technologies Co.Ltd.” (China) and “Nokia Siemens Networks OY” (Republic of Finland) for the purchase and installation of telecommunications equipment for “Altyn Asyr” mobile operator with the view of enhancing the cellular communication system of the country.

Another contract will be signed with Joint Stock Company “East Wind” (Russian Federation) for rendering technical assistance to increase ACP EastWind subscriber billing capacity for “Altyn Asyr” mobile operator and communications system “CDMA” of the Ashgabat telephone network, as well as for introduction of additional cellular communication services.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a resolution authorizing these contracts. The president noted that special attention should be paid not only to introduction of latest equipment but also to training of professionals able to work effectively in the high-tech environment.
