Governors of Dashoguz and Lebap provinces reprimanded

In 2011, Dashoguz and Lebap provinces of Turkmenistan slowed their performance in a number of areas. In particular, these regions failed to honor their obligations on cotton harvesting and delayed the commissioning of social facilities. In addition, Dashoguz province failed to fulfill its contractual obligations on grain harvesting.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov reprimanded Governor of Dashoguz province Esenmyrat Orazgeldiev and Governor of Lebap province Yagshymyrat Yayylov for improper performance of official duties and weakening of control over the work carried out in the provinces. The regional leaders have been warned that they will be removed from their positions if they fail to correct the shortcomings.

In addition, the President of Turkmenistan sacked the Governor of Gubadag district of Dashoguz province, the Governor of the district named after Turkmenbashi the Great, the Governor of Atamyrat district and the Governor of Koytendag district of Lebap province for shortcomings in their work and failure to perform their duties.
