According to Turkmenbusiness.org web site, Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov yesterday received the general director of the US company Caterpillar Inc. for CIS countries, Robert Droogleever, and the head of the German company Zeppelin Baumaschinen GmbH, which is the official distributor of Caterpillar Inc., Leo Peschl.

The representatives of foreign companies expressed their interest in extending until 2020 the long-term cooperation agreement which expires in 2010. This proposal was supported by the head of state. Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov issued an instruction to conduct appropriate talks in the government of Turkmenistan with the participation of the leaders of interested industries.

The head of state stated the need to carry out cooperation on a complex basis, taking into account the training of qualified personnel - both abroad and in Turkmenistan. Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov also noted the need to open new Caterpillar equipment servicing centres in addition to the existing ones. The head of Caterpillar said that the company is ready to offer not only equipment, but also technologies in the area of developing new lands.

The guests also invited their Turkmen partners to a large international exhibition of road construction equipment in Germany.
