A new trade center and big housing estate have been inaugurated in Ashgabat on the eve of Independence Day of Turkmenistan marked on October 27.
As the Ashgabat correspondent of Turkmenistan.ru reports, the trade center called "15 years of independence" and 6 residential houses for 400 flats have been built in one of the busiest avenues of the capital. All works have been completed by subsidiary organizations of the Ministry of construction and construction materials industry of Turkmenistan and the Ashgabat city administration who acted as a customer in the project.
A 3-storey white marble building has accommodated over 300 different shops. The center occupies a total of 13 thousand square meters. There was also built a public garden with two fountains and a 15 m high monument on the adjoining territory occupying some 6 hectares. There is also a small market and parking space for 300 cars.
