A unique sport facility has been erected in the Turkmen capital. As the Ashgabat correspondent of Turkmenistan.ru reports, French Bouygues Batiment firm has constructed a US $ 21, 5 million Ice Palace ordered by the Ministry of energy and industry of Turkmenistan. It is located at the cross roads of Ashgabat two major highways.

Thanks to the state-of-the-art technologies used at the construction of this facility, the temperature on the ice rink, 30x60 m in size, will not exceed 15 degrees centigrade and 20-24 degrees centigrade inside the palace. Despite the fact that in summer outside temperature in Turkmenistan rise to 40 degrees centigrade and higher, three powerful freezers would keep the ice in "working" conditions all-the-year round. Besides, two Italian-made self-propelled polishing machines will be used to polish the ice in the working hours.

There will work a rental shop for visitors. Contractors have already purchased 300 pairs of brand-new skates with the size ranging from 26 to 47.

There will also be a shop and a hall with cloakroom on the ground floor and a cafe with children's playing ground on the first floor under the openwork ach of the palace. The arena was equipped with 1000 chairs with static heating.

The inauguration of the Ice Palace is due to take place in coming days.
