As the Ashgabat correspondent of Turkmenistan.ru reports referring to the official Turkmen press, the Italian version of Saparmurat Niyazov's book "Ruhnama" was presented yesterday at a ceremony in the old Italian city of Agrijento on the Island of Sicily.
The presentation ceremony was held in famous Teatro Vecci Dalla Posta. The ceremony was attended by numerous guests, including the mayor's office top officials, representatives of state and public organizations of
Italy, mass media, cultural activists as well as the Turkmen delegation that arrived there specifically on this remarkable occasion.
Addressing the audience, Branco Janich, technical director of Culligan-Italiana company that initiated the book's translation, pointed out that the publication of the Italian version of "Ruhnama" was a significant event in the history of friendly relations between Turkmenistan and
Italy, designed to bring the peoples of two countries closer to each other.
Within the framework of the presentation, there were also displayed books about today's Turkmenistan, customs and traditions of the Turkmen people, the republic's achievements over the years of independence.
