The river-sea oil tanker "Jeyhun" with the deadweight of more than 7,000 tons, built by the Red Sormovo (Nizhny Novgorod, Russia) shipyard on the order of Turkmenistan, has successfully passed sea trials in Gorky Sea and went into the Caspian Sea. It is expected that the oil tanker will arrive at the port of Turkmenbashi on 27 October.
According to Vadim Malov, CEO of BNP group that includes the shipyard, the oil tanker handover to the customer is timed to the Independence Day of Turkmenistan. "This is the first tanker in the new series and the third one built by our plant for the Turkmen fleet. Then and now, it's our congratulations to the fraternal people on the occasion of the most important official holiday of the country," he said.
