On October 21, the first day of his working visit to Turkmenistan, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev viewed the resort "Avaza", being built on the shores of the Caspian Sea. He was accompanied by his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. According to the state news agency TDH, following a brief conversation at the international airport of Turkmenbashi, the presidents of the two states had dinner at the local center of celebrations "Akmaya", located on the banks of a man-made river.
At the newly opened park in Avaza, whose main attraction is a giant sea fountain, the distinguished guest also watched a water-light show with holographic images and visual etudes projected on the water surface from the shore. As part of the show, pictures of the state symbols of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation, portraits of the heads of two states, images of the great historical figures of the Turkmen and Russian peoples, pictures of the main sights of the two countries interchanged on the sea surface.
The distinguished guest and all those present were impressed by the show, which became a symbol of the Turkmen-Russian friendship, the TDH said.
Today, the presidents of Turkmenistan and Russia will hold talks to exchange views on the entire spectrum of bilateral relations.
