Monument to Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli Fraghi erected in Turkey
A monument to the great Turkmen poet and philosopher Makhtumkuli Fraghi was inaugurated in the Turkish city of Yozgat. According to the state news agency TDH, the monument was made by the Turkish sculptor, Professor Ferit Ozshen. It was installed in the beautiful park "Chopanoglu" in the center of Yozgat, one of the ancient Turkish cities.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by representatives of the Turkmen Embassy in the Turkish Republic, members of the national parliament of Turkey, the province and city of Yozgat, "Bozok" University, the Turkmen-Turkish Friendship Society, academia, media and general public. The ceremony participants laid bouquets of flowers at the monument.

On the same day, a conference devoted to this remarkable event was held as part of the celebration. Participants of the ceremony also viewed recent photographs by Eser Sakai who was inspired by her recent visit to Turkmenistan, the agency said.
