Blind children from Ashgabat to sing at "White cane" festival in Moscow
Four inmates of the Ashgabat boarding school for blind and visually impaired children will perform a folk song at the first international festival "White cane: tolerance, equality, integration" that will take place in Moscow today. The concert at the Center of Opera of Galina Vishnevskaya is timed to the International Days of Blind People marked on October 15 and November 13.

The action has been organized by the Foundation for Assistance to Blind and Visually Impaired Children "By Call of Heart" of Diana Gurtskaya, the Department of Social Welfare of Moscow with the assistance of the Fund for Children caught in difficult life situations, the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of CIS countries, the Charitable Fund of Vladimir Spivakov.

As one of the founders and leaders of the charity fund "By Call of Heart" Petr Kucherenko told Turkmenistan.ru, the organizers aim to integrate visually impaired people in the everyday life, attract attention to problems of this category of people, erase the barriers between the "world of sighted" and the "world blind."

At the festival, children from Turkmenistan will perform together with talented inmates of special schools for blind and visually impaired children from Moscow and Moscow region, as well as Belarus, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova and Georgia. The festival will be also attended by Russian pop stars, sports, theater and cinema celebrities, famous politicians and statesmen.
