The International Association of Akhal-Teke horses that was established this year, with headquarters in Ashgabat, is preparing to start work on creating a unified studbook, that will keep record of all the Akhal-Teke horses of the planet. According to Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper, experts are currently collecting data on the racers from different countries and their pedigrees. In the future, the international-status laboratories will be invited to analyze DNA of each horses. Thus, it will be possible to establish the purity of Akhal-Teke horses, wherever they may be held, wrote Neutral Turkmenistan.
It should be recalled that the International Association of Akhal-Teke horses, with headquarters in Ashgabat, was established to preserve purity of the breed and popularization of the world fame of Akhal-Teke horses. The Association brings together professionals, breeders, scientists and amateurs from the USA, France, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Hungary, Lebanon, Turkey, Iran, Estonia, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was elected president of the new structure. The next conference of the association will be held in the Turkmen capital in 2011.
