Novosibirsk ELSIB company that participated in the third international exhibition and conference "Main trends of development of Turkmenistan's power Industry" announced its intention to restore business relations with Turkmen partners, and explore the needs of the energy market of Turkmenistan.
According to the company's press service, during the Soviet era "Sibelectrotyazhmash" (formerly referred to as "ELSIB") shipped 10 turbo-generators to Turkmenistan in the period from 1962 to 1992. Now, nearly half century old equipment needs upgrading or replacement.
According to Head of Sales of ELSIB Dmitry Yakovlev, the Novosibirsk plant products are not inferior to world standards, while the cost of products, including costs for logistics, installations and warranty services, is significantly lower. The plant's business professionals have something to offer, and after the warranty period for equipment supplied, ELSIB develops a system of operational service, and also willing to provide training opportunities for Turkmen energy specialists on the basis of the Novosibirsk plant, said Yakovlev.
During the exhibition, the delegation of ELSIB held a series of business meetings. Representatives of the Turkmen authorities expressed interest in resuming relations with the plant whose turbo-generators still generate a third of all electricity produced at Turkmenistan's power stations, the report says.
