The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan is hosting a two-day seminar on cooperation between Turkmenistan and the OSCE on issues of global security and countering threats and challenges of modernity. The seminar has been organized by the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The seminar is being attended by representatives of the Mejlis, the Ministry of Justice, the National Institute for Democracy and Human Rights under the President of Turkmenistan, the Institute of State and Law under the President of Turkmenistan, the Institute of International Relations of Turkmenistan, the Academy of Sciences, media, teachers and university students.
"Turkmenistan, pursuing the policy of positive neutrality and broad international cooperation, is the principal supporter of the non-confrontational model of development," speakers noted during the seminar. In this regard, the seminar stressed the infallibility of Turkmenistan's position regarding the idea of establishing a sound and effective system of security and stability in the Central Asian and Caspian region put forward by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the 65th session of the UN General Assembly.
