The Turkmen connoisseurs of classic music welcomed with a storm of applause and ovation the performance of the CIS Youth Symphonic Orchestra led by Vladimir Spivakov, Art Director and Main Conductor of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, President of Moscow International House of Music, People's Artist of USSR. Chinese violinist Fen Ning and opera singer Oksana Volkova from Belarus were soloists of the orchestra.
As the Ashgabat correspondent of Turkmenistan.ru reports, the performance in the Turkmen capital took place within the annual tour of the orchestra of the capital cities of the CIS countries. The compositions by Verdi, Paganini, Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn, Sen-Sanse and Bizet as well as music by Turkmen composer Rejep Rejepov were played during the concert.
The CIS Youth Symphonic Orchestra was created on the initiative and by support of the Council for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS member states. Ninety four young musicians from all CIS countries and Georgia participate in the orchestra led by People's Artist of USSR Vladimir Spivakov. Among them are Leili Karryeva, Ahmed Mamedov, Samir Rizaev, Saparniyaz Yomudov and Dovletmurat Ovezmuradov from Turkmenistan.
