The first issue of the first private newspaper of Turkmenistan called "Rysgal" (Welfare) came out in Turkmenistan. The newspaper features an opening address by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who earlier instructed the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan to set up its own newspaper. In his address, the President of Turkmenistan congratulated Turkmen businessmen on publishing their own newspaper and said that government would continue to provide full support to private entrepreneurship.
According to the State News Agency (TDH), the newspaper aims to "cover the work of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in an open and comprehensive manner, to inform readers about the success stories of Turkmen entrepreneurs working in the capital and regions of the country." The eight-column newspaper is printed in A3 format in Turkmen and Russian languages.
The first issue of Rysgal offers Turkmen business news, tips for beginners, analytical materials on development of the real estate market, international business partnerships, ads, cognitive information. The newspaper invites readers to participate in the discussion of all normative regulations to ensure the most favorable climate for development of the economy and new investments, the agency said.
Chairman of the Union Alexander Dadayev presented the first issue of the newspaper to the head of state at a government meeting on September 17.
