The construction of the second unit for production of liquefied natural gas nears completion at Bagadzha field in Lebap province of Turkmenistan. The start of the second unit will help increase significantly the volumes of export-oriented hydrocarbon products. According to "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper, the construction is being carried out by the Construction Division-1 of "Lebapneftegazstroy" trust, the largest in Lebap province, which boasts high-performance technology from the best foreign firms.
According to the report, with the launch of the second unit at Bagadzha field along with even larger Nayyp industrial hub, "Lebapneftegazstroy trust" will be able to produce up to 140 thousand tons of liquefied gas per year. For storage and handling of hydrocarbon products from Lebap province there were built rail terminals at Sarakhs and Serhetabat stations in addition to the operating Gazochak station.
