The CIS Youth Symphony Orchestra will perform a concert at the Palace of Mukams in Ashgabat on September 20. The program will include compositions by Giuseppe Verdi, Niccolo Paganini, Tchaikovsky, Camille Saint-Saens, Georges Bizet, and national composers of countries participating in the tour. The orchestra plans to visit the capitals of six countries of the CIS.
The CIS Youth Symphony Orchestra was created at the initiative and with the support of the Council for Humanitarian Cooperation of CIS member states and the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of CIS member states. The orchestra is composed of 94 young musicians from all countries of the CIS and Georgia under the leadership of People's Artist of Russia Vladimir Spivakov. Among them are violinists Saparniyaz Yomudov, Leili Karryyeva, Ahmed Mamedov and Roman Avanesov from Turkmenistan.
