President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov will visit Turkmenistan on August 1-2. This was announced by Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov at a government meeting.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the visit would be a success and would further strengthen relations between "the two brotherly peoples, united by historical and cultural community."
