Following the first ever visit by major American companies to Turkmenistan, which was timed to the regular Turkmen-American Business Forum, the executive director of the Turkmen-American Business Council, Eric Stewart, sent a letter of thanks to the President of Turkmenistan.
"Thanks to your leadership and commitment to work with U.S. companies there was such an atmosphere that ensured the success of the visit. The personal interest that you showed during meetings with leaders of American companies has no precedent. And the fact that you spent four hours meeting with corporate executives has strengthened our enthusiasm and belief in the existence of the huge potential in our bilateral economic relations. Every head of the American companies perceived a meeting with you with great enthusiasm and optimism in terms of the further development of partnership with Turkmenistan," the message says.
Eric Stewart said that businessmen are eagerly awaiting the visit of the Turkmen leader to the United States in September, when general debates of the United Nations General Assembly will take place. "We are also ready to work together on the development of Avaza," he stressed.
It should be recalled that the U.S. delegation that visited Ashgabat consisted of representatives of such companies as "Boeing", "Exxon Mobil', "ConocoPhillips", "Chevron", "Case New Holland, International SA", "John Deere", "Caterpillar", "General Electric", "Honeywell International Inc" and others.
