The Turkmenistan - China gas pipeline that will be used to supply up to 40 billion cubic meters of Turkmen natural gas to China annually for the next 30 years will reach the projected capacity by 2012. Of the total volume of exports, part of natural gas will be supplied from the fields located in the left bank of the Amu Darya river, which are being operated by the Turkmengaz state concern. The remaining volumes will be sent to the pipeline from the oilfields located in the contractual territory "Bagtyyarlyk".
As deputy prime minister of Turkmenisgtan Baymyrat Hojamuhammedov reported at the regular meeting of the Turkmen government on December 10, the industrial and infrastructural facilities forming one giant complex to ensure the gas pipeline work are fully ready for operation.
