On November 12, a group of pilgrims arrived by special flight from Ashgabat to Dashoguz to make pilgrimage to holy places of Turkmenistan on the occasion of Kurban Bayram, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) said.
On the first day, pilgrims representing all regions of Turkmenistan visited Kunyaurgench, where the memorial complex "Three hundred and sixty" is located, which includes mausoleums of Najmeddin Kubra, Soltan Ali and Piryarveli. In the afternoon, pilgrims visited the shrine of "Ibrahim Edhem" in Saparmurat Turkmenbashi district. According to the TDH, in Dashoguz, pilgrims will also visit other widely revered shrines such as "Ashik Aidyn's Pir", "Mahmyt Zamakhshari", "Ismamyt ata", and "Bilal baba". The group of elders and the faithful, among whom both men and women, will visit 38 places of worship until 29 November. Kurban Bayram, the Feast of Sacrifice (Eid al-Adha), will be celebrated in Turkmenistan on 28, 29 and 30 November, which were declared a public holiday in Turkmenistan. | |||
