Diplomatic corps of Turkmenistan meets on Caspian Sea coast |
The enlarged meeting of the diplomatic corps of Turkmenistan tool place in the coastal town of Turkmenbashi on October 29. Heads of diplomatic missions and consulates of Turkmenistan abroad and representatives of the Humanitarian Association of World Turkmens participated in the meeting.
The meeting discussed new approaches to structuring the country's foreign policy strategy, the priorities of which were put forward by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the 64th session of the UN General Assembly, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat quoting the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.
The meeting stressed that the main objective of the foreign policy of Turkmenistan was providing assistance to the international community in maintaining and strengthening the global security system, preventing and neutralizing the threat of conflict, ensuring conditions for stable and sustainable development of nations and peoples, as well as broad and constructive international cooperation.
The meeting noted that "Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's statement is a programmatic document for the whole nation, and that Turkmen diplomats will devote all their knowledge, strength and experience to implement it."
