President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has started his official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, November 13. On this day, the Turkmen leader held a meeting with Michael Glos, Federal Minister of Economics and Technologies, and participated at the Turkmen-German Economic Forum.

Addressing the audience in the German language, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov briefed the representatives of German business on the priority directions and new opportunities for productive cooperation between two countries, the Turkmen State News Agency (TDH) reports.

The Turkmen masters of arts performed the best works by the Turkmen and foreign composers at the Forum.

Today, the official ceremony of welcoming the Turkmen leader will be held in Berlin. Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will have negotiations with Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel and President Horst Koehler. In addition, a number of other meetings, including the one with Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Vice-Chancellor and Foreign Minister of Germany, have been planned.
