The center for prevention of tuberculosis under the ministry of healthcare and medical industry of Turkmenistan, the department of tuberculosis of the Turkmen State Medical Institute and five regional hospitals will receive computer equipment that was purchased by the Anti-Tuberculosis Programme of under HOPE project sponsored by the US Agency for International Development (USAID).

The computer equipment will be maintained by Turkmen specialists who attended special training, which was organized by the US Center for Control of Infectious Diseases, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent has learned from the ministry of healthcare and medical industry of Turkmenistan.

Doctors will use special TB ESCM computer program that is designed to improve registration of patients, preparation of relevant reports and data processing, the ministry of health said.
