Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has received Cheng Shaopen, head of well-known Chinese Levono company, in his residence, August 9.

During the meeting the sides discussed the prospects and opportunities of establishing cooperation in the spheres of education, information technology, healthcare, transport, including railways, and in decoration of Ashgabat. In particular, it referred to installation of giant screens in the city, the Turkmen State News Agency (TDH) reports.

Having shared the plans of creating an Olympic town in Ashgabat with the Chinese partners, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed Lenovo’s experience in preparations to the 2008 Olympics would have been quite useful. The head of the Chinese company received this information with great interest.

The Turkmen president congratulated the Chinese company on the success in providing engineering and computer logistics to the Beijing Olympics. In the end of the meeting, Cheng Shaopen handed over to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov the midget Olympic torch.
