A government delegation of Lithuania led by prime minister Gedeminas Kirkilas arrived in the Turkmen capital today. This is the Lithuanian government's first visit to Turkmenistan.

During the visit, the delegation of Lithuania, which also includes representatives of business circles, will take part in the Turkmen-Lithuanian business forum, as well as visit the international multipurpose exhibition "White marble city - Ashgabat", the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat quoting the official sources.

A memorandum of understanding between the government of Turkmenistan and the government of Lithuania will be signed on results of the intergovernmental talks.

It is expected that the Lithuanian prime minister will be received by Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov tomorrow. The sides are to discuss prospects for and possibilities of establishing a broad mutually beneficial cooperation, first of all in the sphere of trade and economics.
