Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inaugurates two new facilities at Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries
Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attended the inauguration of two new units for primary distillation of crude oil together with an administrative building at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries during his working visit to Balkan province on March 28.

The Turkmen State News Agency (TDH) reports that the capacity of the new units - Electrical Desalting Plant (EDP) connected to AT-6 distillation unit via a single technological network - is 2,5 million tons of oil a year. The facilities have been built by Irish Emerol company. In the near future, the company is due to start the construction of EDP - AT-7 units with the capacity of 3 million tons of oil. The total cost of these projects exceeds US $ 75 million.

The head of state also attended the inauguration of a 12-storey administrative building of the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries. The building has been erected by Turkish Hayat Inshaat Saglyk Peizazh ve Telecommunication Sanai ve Dysh Ticaret company on a turnkey basis. Having thanked the facility architects, designers and builders, Gurbanguly Berdimuhameodv signed a book of honorary guests. A video clip describing the refinery's workday routine and ready products was demonstrated in the conference-room.
