Buried Hill Energy company is about to complete seismic measurements and offshore explorations of the Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea, and is preparing to proceed to implementing a drilling programme as part of an earlier made agreement, the Omani-Canadian company CEO Rodger Haines said at a meeting with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov yesterday.
According to the Turkmen State News Service (TDH), the head of state spoke in favor of speeding up the drilling programme and stressed the importance of attracting the advanced and ecology friendly technologies.
During the meeting, the sides also discussed issues related to cooperation in staff training. Buried Hill Energy officials also expressed readiness to provide assistance in educating Turkmen students in Canada's leading higher education establishments.
