A US $ 36,8 billion aerated concrete plant with the capacity of 200 thousand cubic meters a year will be erected in the industrial area of Ovadandepe near Ashgabat. The ministry of construction and construction materials industry of Turkmenistan will be the investor and owner of the plant. The ministry will receive a credit for this purpose from the Central Bank of Turkmenistan. Turkish Polimeks company will be hired as a contractor.
As the Turkmen State News Service (TDH) reports, aerated concrete will be shipped to numerous construction sites in all regions of Turkmenistan in about two years. The plant will be fitted with autoclave production equipment supplied by leading European companies. It will help increase the material durability and significantly diminish the concrete shrinkage. The new plant will use local raw materials except for aluminum powder. The aerated concrete plant will provide jobs for some 100 people.
