On December 14, the president of Turkmenistan received UNICEF representative in Turkmenistan Mahboob Shareef who has completed his mission in Turkmenistan. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked Mahboob Shareef for his contribution to the implementation of a series of joint projects, in particular in the sphere of maternity and childhood.

The head of UNICEF Ashgabat office briefed the head of state on the events scheduled for 2008, including a number of joint international education development projects in Ashgabat, the Turkmen State News Service (TDH) reports.
