Bulgarian presidents lands in Ashgabat for short stopover
As the Ashgabat correspondent of Turkmenistan.ru reports quoting the Turkmen State News Service (TDH), President Georgiy Pyrvanov of Bulgaria landed at the international airport in Ashgabat for a short stopover. Turkmenistan's vice prime minister, minister of foreign affairs Rashid Meredov met the high guest on the instruction of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and conveyed to him the Turkmen president's greetings and best wishes.

The president of Bulgaria, in turn, conveyed to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulations on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence and wished him happiness, health and successes in highly responsible state work. Noting the sides' mutual interest to boosting the state dialogue, the interlocutors stressed that now that two countries, bound by traditional relations of friendship and mutual understanding, started a new phase of development they have unlimited opportunities for establishing long-standing, mutually advantageous cooperation in all areas.
