President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Jean Chretien, former Canadian prime minister, in his New York residence yesterday.

According to the Ashgabat correspondent of Turkmenistan.ru, during the meeting, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Jean Chretien discussed the progress of earlier reached agreements.
The sides expressed their mutual interest in continuation of the dialog in establishment of partnership with well known Oman-Canadian Buried Hill Energy Company, whose interests the former Canadian prime-minister represented in Ashgabat, early this year.
