At a meeting in Strelna on June 9, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov of Turkmenistan and President Michael Saakashvili of Georgia expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to discuss issues of the interstate cooperation in the context of an emerging tendency to its development and strengthening. The heads of state agreed on the ways of further cooperation, defined the priorities of cooperation, first of all in the trade-economic and humanitarian spheres. It was noted that this was the right time to open an Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia, the Turkmenistan.ru's correspondent reports.

In the end of talks Michael Saakashvili was interviewed by Turkmen journalists. He confirmed that it was his specific intention to meet the president of Turkmenistan in St Petersburg.
